Club Message

It is that time of year—lots of changes! and STEELHEAD!!!!!

They are on the menu for next weeks meeting on the 14th. Tom and Dave will be presenting information regarding the whys, hows and maybe even the wheres, of fishing those amazing beasts. 7:00 pm at Idaho Pizza on Commercial Street in Weiser. Raffles for prizes as usual, and bring your flytying results to stick on the fish.

Fly tying class this month will feature a stonefly nymph pattern, Ray Perkins is up for that, at the Weiser Library, Tuesday the 21st at 7:00 pm.

Next month: our “normal” monthly meeting will be replaced by our annual Christmas Party. The club will supply pizza, salad and soda-fountain drinks. (Yer on yer own for the beer and wine). We will again hold the white elephant gift exchange, so bring something if you want to have a part in it: humor is usually appreciated.

Rumor has it the Weiser Community pond has turned over and cleared, and was stocked last month. Check it out before the otter gets all the fish: just don’t step into the muskrat holes. Best get fishing before you have to dig out the ice augers—

Quick reminder, Tuesday Nov.14, is our monthly membership meeting, at Idaho Pizza 7pm.

We will be having a special presentation on Steelhead fishing by two of our members. Mr. Tom Dyer and Mr Dave Henderson. both outstanding Steelheaders. They have a lot of answers, so bring your questions.

Don't forget to bring your fly tying results to stick on the year's end fish.
